First, it’s time for a new entry for 2020, and we feel as though we deserve it after this unusual and unprecedented year. Puck Penguin joins the popular Haribo Christmas range which already includes the likes of Giant Trees and Starmixmas.
Haribo Puck Penguins are jelly and foam penguin-shaped sweet in peach and vanilla, blackcurrant and vanilla and strawberry and vanilla fruit flavour combinations. Haribo’s seasonal ranges are growing in popularity as they saw 9.3% overall growth in 2019, so they’re worth buying.
It’s worth noting that Giant Trees sales grew by 600%, which is due to their similarity to Giant Strawbs and their vegetarian appeal.
Variety is the spice of life, and you’ll have something to please every sweet lover this Christmas by stocking Swizzels Sweet Shop Favourites tub.
The tub is ideal for younger kids who haven’t progressed onto more sophisticated Christmas confectionery such as the classic Toblerone.
There’s a mixture of chewy sweets, crunchy sweets, lollipops and sherbert dips, just remind your customers to keep these tubs away until after the Christmas dinner!
Time for a classic Christmas treat now; we’ve all received a bag of Supermix at some point, haven’t we? As one of our bestsellers, Supermix is essential Christmas confectionery; they’re always guaranteed to fly off the shelves at this time of year.
You can’t beat the soft, chewy sweets and we’d advise you stock up on these in time for Christmas.
Another Christmas classic here, one for all the family to get involved in as the Christmas films play out over the day.
There’s something for everyone in the Heroes box, from ‘crunchy’ Crunchies to rich and creamy Twirls.
Cadbury’s Heroes are always popular around the festive and New Year period, so stock up today and get yourself prepared.
Time for Cadbury’s arch-rival now, with the much-loved variation of the Celebrations’ Malteser making an appearance.
Malteser Truffles were launched in 2018 and provide a softer, more decadent alternative to their crunchy counterparts. There’s an air of luxury associated with truffles, so they’re the perfect Christmas gift for when people want to give a little extra.
They’re a brilliant accompaniment to all of the above sweets, and give you something that isn’t as mainstream, but still popular.
With Christmas on our minds, it can be easy to forget about 2021 and stocking up on sweets that’ll sell in the new year. Here are our recommendations:
Always part of our confectionery best-sellers, Haribo Starmix are a must-buy for consistency, you can read our Haribo brand guide for more top products and useful information.
Swizzels launched Squashies in 2012, so they’re a relatively new sweet, and boy have they gone down a treat. They’re one of our most popular sweets, and Drumsticks has even released flavours like bubblegum and sour cherry and apple. Yum!
Maoam is part of the Haribo brand, so it’s no surprise to see them on a list of the best sweets for 2021. They’re tasty cola and fruit chews that are longer than original Maoams.
Go into the new year with a classic sweet; the foamy rhubarb custard combination is sure to give you customers something different – a traditional flavour.
Only released this year to commemorate Swizzels’ 90th anniversary, Great British Puds offers nostalgia in a bag. There are four chew bar sweets: rhubarb crumble, sticky toffee pudding, apple pie and lemon meringue. These sweets are sure to kick off next year!
If you’re stocking up on sweets, we have the perfect blog to help you decide what to buy. It’s called American vs European Confectionery: What Should You Stock? You’ll find some tasty accompaniments to your Haribo selection, so it’s well worth a read.
